About Your Director
Meghan Edgerton-Young is proud to be originally from Grande Prairie, with a diploma in Music Performance from Grande Prairie Regional College and a Bachelor’s degree in Music specializing in Vocal Performance from the University of Alberta Augustana Faculty. She has received training from Michael Zaugg, the renowned director of Pro-Choro, and is a certified Music Together teacher and a participant in Opera Nuova.
Meghan served as the choir president of the prestigious auditioned Augustana Choir and has traveled extensively with choirs throughout the years, visiting locations such as Vancouver, Toronto, Idaho, and Cuba in 2008 and again in 2019. She has also volunteered with Singable, an inclusive choir, and worked with children in various music programs.
Meghan developed her own private music studio, where she has taught for six years, and continues to contribute to the music community by building her own all-girls choir. Driven by her passion for choral music, Meghan is dedicated to inspiring young singers and fostering a love for music.
